I have worked with students with special needs for over 17 years and the trend for "flexible" seating has made such a difference with many students who have trouble staying still or fidget a great deal. I have seen these wobble stools do wonders with children in the class. A student can move, bob, wiggle and wobble without distracting the class or themselves. Being able to move more effectively can also build a more positive attitude towards school for a child. There is less of a need for constant prompting by a teacher or adult to stay on task and they can build a more positive experience of their elementary school years.
