These rugged science tools will be in for some heavy use! Kindergarten students will use them to strengthen the fine motor muscles in their hands and fingers while they build with magnetic tiles, dig with shovels and scoops to find dinosaur bones, find out what helps a building stay standing during an earthquake, and catch fish with magnetic poles. Together, my students and I, will explore favorite fairy tales and help those beloved characters, like the Three Little Pigs, solve their troubles using sound science principles. We will help the Gingerbread Man escape from the fox by building a strong and sturdy boat. We will create chairs for the Three Bears. These hands-on materials will add real life applications to Kindergarten sized science projects. With your generous help, my young students will get to explore science in an exciting and stimulating new way!
