Not new to teaching, but I am new to teaching third grade. I feel like I am limiting my students' exposure to to fun, interesting, and thought provoking literature without the necessary books to offer. I am asking for books and materials that will give the students an opportunity to experience a variety of genres and develop a life long love of reading in an organized and welcoming environment. I am not only in need of grade/level appropriate chapter books, but also bins and shelving to display them. I am also asking for a carpet to make the class library a cozy environment for students. I want to inspire and challenge them by offering a wide variety of fiction and non fiction books. My ultimate goal is to provide the books in an inviting and beautiful display. Please help provide a literate rich environment for my students.
