I have four different groups of string orchestra students. They begin at the 4th grade and go through 12th grade. My students come from a variety of backgrounds. We have Caucasian, English learners as well as Native Americans. Many of or students are low income and don't have an opportunity to learn a string instrument even though w have a strong and growing program due to financial restrictions. Unfortunately, there are no working instruments for them to use. They want so badly to play and there is so much talent!
