My students need Chromebooks to access the online CMP3 Math curriculum, STAR test, STAR progress monitoring, and school district server hosted mandated intervention math programs like ST Math and Achieve3000, to enhance their learning. Right now, I have 12 computers for 38 students. Our school purchased brand new Language Arts and Math programs that have all the books and tests online for students to access with their district emails; however, we don't have enough devices to use the online resources. They can also access this information at home; however, most do not have computers. For example, most students do not know how to type, and that's is why it takes them so long to complete tests. I have signed them up for free typing lessons online, but again, not everyone can use that every day. We have excellent educational lessons and information available. These students know that it is important for them to use these resources. We need these Chromebooks so that more students can access these resources on a daily basis.
