  • Creative Adventures in Third Grade Await

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

    The donations of these items have truly created some creative adventures in our third grade classroom. We have used some of our supplies to create a beach day, a football day, carnival celebration and rewards with the claw machine and stickers to celebrate birthdays as well as big achievements in Xtra Math. We are still in the planning of our race car day, camping day, and construction day. Hopefully we will be able to do these activities soon when we return back to school.

    Having some cool rewards and fun things to do makes learning fun and students engaged and without these supplies it would have looked different. Thank you very much for making learning and succeeding even more enjoyable in our classroom. My students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Learning has been made even more fun in our classroom of third grade adventures!”

  • Listening for Learning

    Funded May 7, 2018

    The school year is underway and we are so grateful to have brand new high quality headphones to use in our classroom. We have a set of iPads in our classroom that we use for many types of learning activities like listening to books, math games, building presentations, collaborating with others, and so much more. Having high quality headphones allows students to work on projects and listen without the distraction of others and have a stronger ability to focus. The kids love using them and treat them with great respect knowing they were/ are a gift to our classroom. One student even commented, "These are the best!"

    We are truly grateful for people who believe in education and supporting classrooms financially, so that we can add the extras and sometimes even just the necessary to provide great opportunities for our students to learn in creative and fun ways!”

Our classroom is fun and inviting. We love, reading, solving math challenges, engineering and science, learning about American History, coding, and working collaboratively on all sorts of projects. In our classroom, students have opportunities to work on iPads or creatively with art supplies to make engaging presentations on concepts of choice that tie into our bigger themes and concepts.
