My class has rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for higher education and/or their future careers. While teaching basic career skills like interviews and resumes, we also strive to provide technical skills they will need in college and the workforce. We are working on creating models to print on a 3D printer, creating presentations to advertise the program and inventing new products, while also working on getting certified in various Adobe products. My students need this equipment to keep up with the ever-changing technology in our world. This computer will be the only Mac we will have that will allow us to make movies and use other programs which we currently do not have access to. Our students are currently working from their phones to create marketing and highlight videos for our program. This Mac would allow our whole class to partake and contribute in the making of these projects, just not one student. The headphones would allow the students to work on the projects and not disturb others working on something else. We would still need to use our camera and phones to get video clips and pictures, so the USB adapter is necessary to connect the students media to the Mac. These materials will be used to develop their technical skills and enrich their learning. They will also help me facilitate how we promote our program. We would love to have the state of the art materials that will motivate our students to get more involved and develop their multi-media skills. Our students would love to use this equipment!
