Reading is Dreaming

I want to thanks all that have donated. Being able to access books is something that we all take for granted. Many students that I work with do not have books at home and do not have a way to get to a library. This has allowed students to access books to take home and enjoy. This project has allowed students to develop a love of literacy. It has also been able to show them the many types of stories available.

Before schools closed, students were able to take books out so that they had books to read at home. When the books come back students can then take a new book out. These books are also available for enjoyment in the classroom. Students do not always have the ability to read what they want in a classroom, so these books are nice to have available when students finish their work early. They also have a cozy corner with comfy chairs to read in during reading time.

Students who enjoyed these books are often the children that don't always have a variety of reading materials. They also love having a fun place to read their books.
