It’s Cold Outside!
Funded Dec 12, 2023My students were surprised and greatly appreciative for the generous support you showed when contributing to our class project. Students were delighted to choose their favorite color for their hat, scarf and gloves. Some placed the items on right away to try out the warmth and fit.
Our area faced our first snowstorm of the season just yesterday. The donated winter items came just in time to ensure that they would be protected against the cold weather. As students came bundled up to report to school, they also flashed smiles, knowing that the cold is one less obstacle to interfere with their learning. Thank you for making this happen!”

Questions Answered
Funded Dec 1, 2022Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting our class project. The scholars were very excited to see the new materials arrive to our classroom. Immediately we opened the packages and began distributing the materials to each student.
Now, each child has a communicator, dry-erase marker and eraser to respond to questions and to solve math problems. The excitement is shown when every student has an opportunity to participate and share their answers. They also can easily erase any mistakes and make corrections instantly with the new materials.
Having these learning tools benefits scholars by helping them to participate freely wthout fear of mistakes. Students are excited about learning and this excitement generates more opportunity to accelerate growth. Thank you again for supporting the educational goals of my students.”

Funded Dec 6, 2019I am extremely grateful for the donations provided to fully fund my class project. It means so much to have support shown to the students and families of my class. Oftentimes, funding is difficult to obtain when implementing best practices and developing strong communication with school and home. Your generosity will help in the successful building of the school & home connection, which is imperative for a child’s success. Thank you again for giving so generously.”

Funded Jun 13, 2019Thank you so much for the opportunity to attend the professional development training on Design Equity in Tampa, Florida. I collaborated and learned much from educators from across the country. I enjoyed sharing ideas and problem solving through many team activities and rich discussions.
The highlights of the three-day conference included pairing up with others to redesign a school cafeteria, reflecting on issues around equity and empathy and participating in rapid ideation and radical collaboration.
I have already used an ice breaker during the first day of school with my students that encouraged them to share and listen to others in a group setting. I also intend to utilize the videos and engage in games to enhance their understanding of empathy and inclusion. The training has opened my eyes to many ideas and has helped me to recognize that true liberation occurs when there is both inclusion and equity. I walked away from this training feeling empowered to make a difference, not only in the lives of my students, but to also be the change to promote a positive culture in our entire school community. Thank you again for your generosity in providing this rare opportunity.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018My scholars were so excited when they saw the brand new carpet for our classroom. They could hardly wait to sit on the carpet to complete classwork. In the past, scholars would only have the option to take math activities back to their seats. With the new carpet, they are able to move away from their desk and relax in a cozy area to enjoy activities within a flexible seating area. Your generosity has made my class more interested in going to the math center to complete assignments or play a game. They enjoy the comfort of the new carpet and it will continue to bring joy to my students in the years to come. Thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness and kindness.”
