Harlem Hot Shots Photo Printer
Funded Sep 16, 2021I would like to Thank You all for your generous donations to the Harlem Hot Shots Photo Printer. My students and I are extremely grateful for your support which has been helpful in enabling them to print photographs from classroom digital cameras and photo references for projects from internet images.
My students are most excited to be able to instantly print images that they can use as inspiration for their drawings, paintings, and sculptures.
Students that are part of the Photography Club have especially warmed to having this new technology in the classroom because they are able to instantly print photos from their camera's SD Cards.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Barksdale
Harlem Hot Shots!
Funded Oct 31, 2019Thank you so much for helping me to expose students to a new world of digital photography. One way that the technology helped students learn was when I assigned them to take a photo from nature. It could have been a pet, an animal or other photo from nature that interests them. Each student had a chance to share their photos with the class and talk about the pictures. They stated why they chose the subject, what makes it special to them and any information they know about the subject.
Thanks to your generous donation, students in the Photography Club were able to take advantage of the technology of digital photography. The digital cameras were easy to use, and because they provide instant feedback, they were exciting and a lot of fun.
This new technology has enabled those students with special needs to deepen their visual creativity in a medium that is very easy to use. With a picture, students were able to capture emotions and moods and turn everyday objects into something with deeper meaning and magic. These students felt much more comfortable expressing themselves through art than they would through writing.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Barksdale
