On behalf of my third graders at Petersen Elementary School in my "Healthy Snacks to Comfort Us" project, I want to express our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation. Your support will help provide nutritious snacks that not only fuel our bodies but also bring comfort and joy to our third grade classroom.

Thanks to your kindness, we will be able to create a healthier and happier learning environment. We truly appreciate your contribution and the positive impact you are making in our education.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Neysa González

  • Everything in Color, Looks a Lot Better!

    Funded Sep 12, 2024

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of a color printer to my third-grade classroom. Your support means so much to me and my students. With the new printer, we will be able to create vibrant projects, bring our lessons to life, and enhance our creative expression.

Technology in the classroom plays a crucial role in enhancing my students' learning experiences. It helps to engage them in interactive lessons, promotes collaboration, and allows for personalized learning. For instance, with the new color printer, students can create visually appealing projects that help them better understand concepts in subjects like reading, science, and math.

The most exciting aspect of the new printer for my students is the ability to produce colorful, high-quality projects. They love seeing their ideas come to life in vibrant colors, which boosts their enthusiasm and creativity. Whether it's designing posters for a class project or creating visual aids for presentations, the printer adds a fun and dynamic element to their work.

It's wonderful to know that we have someone like you who believes in the power of education and the potential of our young learners.”

    With gratitude,

My bilingual third graders at Petersen Elementary School and I are extremely grateful for receiving the items we needed this school year. Your donations will make this year one full of great achievements and success, and for that we have to bless and thank you. We hope that your kindness and generosity are returned in blessings and happiness.”

  • Motivation is The Key!

    Funded Mar 4, 2022

My students and I are extremely grateful for your generosity. We got to wear wonderful creations, t shirts, made by our own hands for the end of school activities. When we received the materials we were ready to learn. We read about the Cricut machine, we watch videos, we even had our school nurse showing us how to use it. We are not experts, but with the machine and all the materials and tools that you help us acquire, we "ROCK" at our end of the year school activities.

Thank you, this year is a new crop of students, I am confident that they will have as much fun and excitement as my previous students had with the Cricut and all other materials and tools.

    God bless you all!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Neysa González

  • Here or There, We Are Ready for STEM!

    Funded Apr 21, 2021

I am extremely thankful for your generosity, especially during this difficult times that we all are facing these days due to the worldwide pandemic. As a math and science teacher, I encountered many difficulties presenting and explaining specific content to my students; especially to elaborate on misconceptions. This iPad and Apple Pencil has been very effective to explain to my scholars that needed a more individual and visual explanation of a number concept.

My scholars love to learn through hands-on activities and this modern equipment will provide them with a rewarding way to build math skills proficiency. I am confident that this will be an extremely excited school year, full of new adventures and successes.”

  • Ready for Virtual Learning!

    Funded Nov 12, 2020

My students and I appreciate everything you have done for us. This school year is completely different than any other and technology has become the most important tool for distance learning. The computer is not only a communication and research tool, but it is also the new route to deliver and receive education

My students and I are very happy with the new computer. There are no more interruptions, during our lessons, caused by malfunctioning of an old equipment. I have an "exceptional unique student" that said; "Ms. Gonzalez, you look pretty, and we can hear you better... a lot better now that you have a new laptop".”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Neysa González

  • It's Time for the Numbers to Flow!

    Funded Oct 26, 2020

I am extremely thankful for your generosity, especially during this difficult times that we all are facing these days due to the worldwide pandemic. As I stated in my project, we are doing virtual teaching since March, 2020. As a math and science teacher, I encountered many difficulties presenting and explaining specific content to my students from home; especially to elaborate on misconceptions. This math kit has been very effective to explain to my scholars that needed a more visual explanation of a number concept.

My scholars love to learn through hands-on activities and this math kit from hands2mind will provide them with a rewarding way to build math skills proficiency. For now, I can only make use of this magnificent resource by showing it to the students through the computer because of the distance learning. I am confident that we will return to the classroom pretty soon, and my scholars will enjoy this math kit very much.”

  • Distance Learning Tools

    Funded Sep 15, 2020

I am intensely grateful for each one of you who contributed to my project. Your generosity has given me the opportunity to acquire the appropriate tool to continue educating my wonderful students during these times of changes and innovation. The XP-Pen stylus and Graphic Tablet allows me to effectively present content by writing and annotating on presentations and respond simultaneously to student's queries. I am able to present and explain with details. I am able to use the virtual students work and write on it for corrections or specifications. It is like writing and sharing interactive anchor charts in the classroom, even though students are at home. Virtual Math Lessons are a lot easier now!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Neysa González

This is my twentieth year in Bilingual Education, but my first experience with second grade MATH. I will have two classes with approximately thirty students. Teaching bilingual students requires extra effort and extra items in the classroom. The school is in a low income, previously affected by Hurricane Harvey, area and families struggle bringing in supplies and extra materials needed. I need your help to bring the new era into my classroom where technology is limited and necessary. The tablets will allow students to gain experience with updated technology while providing additional educational resources to their plate of knowledge. The tablets will be utilized daily during classroom stations. By funding this project, you will be giving bilingual scholars coming from low income areas opportunities to get exposed to technology they might never get otherwise. Please consider them and know it is for their future. The tablets will be an extra tool in building a solid foundation in Math and technology.
