  • Writing Pops With Toner!

    Thank you all for supporting "Writing Pops With Toner." Your generosity is completely overwhelming and has been instrumental in taking literacy to the next level.

    As you can see from the photos, my students were so eager and excited about printing their animal reports. They conducted online research and grabbed BEAUTIFUL color images of animals to include in their reports. My students are looking forward to writing and publishing reports on other topics and using the color printer to ensure their writing "pop' with color.”

My student are digital natives and begin to use them right out the box. The enjoy being able to have instructional resources at their finger tips. They can get cozy in a reading corner, put on their headphones and fall in love with books.

  • Learning to Code: Botley Coding Robots

    Thank you so much for funding our STEM classroom coding project. Albert Einstein said, "Play is the highest form of research." The Botley Coding robots are teaching my students about the importance of thinking things through as they learn from trial and error. It is also introducing coding fundaments without the need for a screen. It is particularly inspiring to see them working together on various challenges to accomplish their goal of getting the robot through or around obstacles.     With the Botley Coding Robots, my students are learning the basics of coding without using a computer screen. They use the hand-held remote control and the image-based coding cards to help them write code for the robot they have affectionately named"Robby the Robot". They just stared before shouting, "Wow! They gave us this!"   • Preventing Summer Reading Loss

    Thank you so much for supporting our classroom project to prevent summer reading loss. The assorted books (on various levels) will enable my students to read and enjoy. Having interesting and exciting books to read over the summer will enable them to build on and reinforce the important reading skills they have learned this year. The 'Draw and Write' journals pencils and crayons will help them extend their learning as they response in writing interesting and exciting books.

  • Say What?

    Again, thank you so much for supporting our classroom project to enhance classroom discussions. Being able to communicate, and collaborate a are 21st century skills. Having a Qball enables my students to fully participate in classroom discussions where they can agree or disagree, build on the ideas of others, and build their academic vocabulary and language skills. Now, even the students who speak softly will not go unheard. With the Qball they are able to connect ideas and/or build on the ideas of others. No doubt, the best part of having a Qball in the classroom is being able to toss it around. Thank you for making classroom discussion fun!”

No doubt, these icon-based watches will be instrumental in empowering my students by teaching them good habits and concepts of time. My students can personalize their watches with any of the assorted icons. They can set reminders to begin or complete important tasks, such as independent reading, completing homework, brushing their teeth before going to bed or setting an alarm to wake up on time for school.”
