This project is a production center to build collaboration and develop 21st century skills needed in the IT field. Scholars are utilizing a projector, surface, and whiteboard to build team projects, revise, and present their findings on social justice, themes in literature, and writing. The idea is to develop student led collaborative conferences. It allows each student the time and practice without penalty before projects are presented.
It is with this center that I as an educator can commit to the gradual release of teaching and allow the guided Inquiry process to flourish. The students are in control of their research, their agreement or disagreement of the most important information to present during the process and then make a decision as a team what will be submitted. Their opinion matters as well as their critical thinking skills. This is a skill that will allow them an opportunity to assist globally in the continued education of others, on a platform that is about sharing information not keeping it for ourselves. We will promote positive experiences with social media and create confident learners. This center will allow them to develop themselves as effective thinkers, presenters and researchers. Each device allows them to create in real time with the use of Microsoft Team.
