With the growing use of technology children are forgetting how to pretended play and use their socialization skills. Although I fully support the use of technology in the classroom, sometimes physically manipulating an object can lead to a better understanding. My goal is to use the materials listed and incorporate them into morning tubs or/and STEM Bins. Not only will my students have an opportunity to be creators, designers and testers of their masterpieces but they will be able to socialize. Young children need to be given more opportunities to express themselves and learn social skills. With these materials I believe we can accomplish just that.
