Welcome to my 9th grade class, where students are newly arrived immigrants from all over the world and speak over 30 different languages. Students at BINcA are truly the spirit of the school. Although they are eager to learn about their new communities, they are faced with a myriad of challenges including working to pay rent, homelessness, trauma, adjusting to new language and culture as well as other responsibilities that tend to be emotionally demanding.
At BINcA, we strive to provide a challenging and nurturing experience for the students to allow them to engage and contribute in their communities. To many of these students, we are more than just a school, we are their families, supporters and life long mentors.
