  In our Kalo Challenge, we got super creative,

  Making bioplastic? Yeah, we felt so innovative!

  Our students mixed, laughed, and had fun,

  Who knew kalo (taro) could shine like our sun?

  We mashed and we stirred, it was quite a sight,

  Transforming that kalo, making something just right.

  Now we're proud little chefs, with that crafty touch!

• Help Keep Us Busy and Chill!

  Thanks to your support, our students made excellent use of the items provided. Our community partners observed remarkable growth in the taro we planted, and many students secured jobs that positively impacted their families. The seniors stayed focused and earned their well-deserved diplomas, with two receiving excellence awards for their hard work.

  Since moving to a new classroom, I'm proud to share that this class wrote directly to our legislators about the importance of our alternative classroom. Their advocacy helped secure funding for next year, easing concerns about the program being shut down. Your contributions have made a significant difference in our students' lives, and we are truly grateful!”

• A Movie Theater Experience at a Small Town School!

  Mahalo nui from our small town! Movie theater experiences became popular in America's Wild West, providing people a place to cool down, enjoy a snack, and be entertained. This was largely due to the business-women in the region, as many men traveled from town to town. I hope this glimpse into history helps us appreciate the contributions that have shaped our world today, just as each of your donations has made our classroom more enjoyable.”

• Printer Help

  I am thrilled to be able to thank you for the printing help. This will relieve a lot of stress for me when our building's printer jams up and we only have a few minutes left before the bell. Students will also be happy to not have to travel throughout the school to pick up print jobs I sent elsewhere!”
