  • Color the Class

    Funded Nov 7, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. Thanks to you, we can now print in color! You don't know how important that is for us to have in our art classroom. We are so fortunate to be able to print in color and the students are so excited to be able to have reference images in color. I was also able to get Prisma color pencils and those are so important because quality is key to a beautiful artwork. Before this, we have only had Crayola color pencils and if you have used both brands, you know that there is a difference.”

  • Art Supplies Needed!

    Funded Oct 9, 2024

Thank you so much for funding my project. Without donors like you, I would not be able to harbor creativity in my students. I have already seen an impact these supplies have made. We are now able to go outside to draw thanks to the drawing boards. We now have more paint to be able to work with.

I am excited about all the future projects that I have lined up because of your generous donation. I cannot thank you enough for contributing to our projects. My students are already excited to use our new supplies.”

  • Binding Books!

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for funding this project for us. Because of donors like you, I was able to share my love of book making with them. We made sketchbooks using the supplies given. I was able to teach my students how to safely use a needle and how to tie their sketchbooks together. We would not be able to do this without generous people like yourself.

My students really enjoyed making their own sketchbooks because it's something they will be using throughout the year. It seems more special because they made it themselves. Thank you for giving them this opportunity.”

  • Drawing Pens

    Funded Dec 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your amazing contribution to this project. Because of you, my students are able to learn what it feels like to use real art supplies and materials we otherwise would not be able to have. My students were so amazed when I first showed them these pens. They immediately wanted to try them out and loved them. We are working on Zentangle projects using these pens because they work so much better than sharpies. We will also be working on some pen and ink artwork using these pens.

Without your contribution, my students would not be as excited about doing our projects because they feel like real artists when they use nice materials. I can't describe the joy on their faces when some of my students first used these pens. Again, thank you so much for your wonderful donation.”

  • Supplies for Art!

    Funded Oct 18, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My classroom is a new program that was started this year. Our department has several teachers and the budget did not stretch as far as we wanted it to go. Without your donations, our students would not have the materials needed to learn about different types of art, community service, and what it's like to use new materials.

I am so grateful for the donations and so relieved that I will be receiving these supplies to be able to teach my students. I have let my students know about what items are coming and I have received so many positive and excited reactions.”

  • Geometry in Art!

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

Thank you for helping fund this project. My students are learning how to draw three dimensional forms and having these items helped so much. Without these items, they would have to work from a photo, which does not provide the same thing as drawing from live. I'm so glad to have these tools to be able to teach them how to look and create three dimensional drawings.

Without donors like you, public school classrooms would not be able to foster as much creativity and students would not reach their full potential. Again, my students and I appreciate you very much.”

  • Lets Burn Burn Burn Wood!

    Funded Apr 28, 2021

As our supplies begin to arrive, my students cannot contain their excitement. My students have never used tools like these before and did not even know they can create art by burning wood. I am so excited to be able to share this opportunity with them and give them this experience. It's thanks to people like you that we are able to give these experiences to students. We are so thankful that our project was funded because it will be something fun they can do that's definitely different. I will be displaying these projects for our entire school to see once they are completed. Thank you again for this opportunity.”

  • Paint Paint Paint

    Funded Apr 13, 2021

My students and I are forever grateful for your contribution to our art program. We are so honored that you chose to give to us. The easels you helped fund will help my students feel like actual artists in my classroom. You helped provide items that they otherwise would not have in the classroom and they would not have the full artist experience. I look forward to using these items with my students so that they can develop into advanced artists and learn about how professional artists create their works. Again, we cannot thank you enough for your contribution.”

  • A New Way of Teaching!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

My students and I appreciate your donations so much. At the beginning of Covid, I started to brainstorm ways I will be able to still teach the students how to create art while being virtual. My answer was videos. I began the school year by creating videos that would cut off, not show the whole screen, and overall unprofessional. My students loved watching them and being able to rewatch my demos, but with complaints about the video shaking. I couldn't do anything about it because I was drawing with one hand while holding my phone on the other to record. Thanks to your donations, I am now able to create more professional instructional videos and it is no longer shaky. My students are thankful for the new and better videos and have been grateful to be able to learn this way. This would not be possible without your help and donations. Please keep doing what you are doing to help our schools.”

This year, my goal is to give my students the opportunity to explore outside of two dimensional art. There are so many different types of art that I want to give my students the opportunity to try their hands on as many as I can possibly offer. I have the knowledge and skills to help them achieve their full artistic potential. All that's missing are the materials. For my supplies, I am asking for donations for supplies that allows us to create three dimensional art. I added printmaking kits so that my students can try their hand at creating their own designs and actually have it being made into a shirt that they can be proud of. I also added wires and clay for sculptures so that we can create pieces of artwork that is not just made out of found objects due to our limited supplies. We have a small amount of art supplies so the types of art that we can explore are limited. My students have not been given the opportunity to try many different types of art, which limits their knowledge of art to mainly drawing and painting. I want to give them the opportunity to build with their hands and create art that they can be proud of.
