The third through fifth grade students that come to the resource room for individualized and small group instruction often need to have movement options available to them for optimal learning to support and maintain attention to a task. Sitting still can make it challenging for some students to retain important academic information. Students learn best when they have the option to move. Flexible seating like wobble stools, ball chairs, and wobble cushions will provide my students with the ability to be able to move within the confines of the resource room. Students would be able to have choice over what they need in order to learn best and remain engaged to what is being taught.
