Ever since I was a kid, I watched my fellow classmates lose confidence in their mathematical abilities as the material got harder and harder. I personally am a math enthusiast and will do just about anything to help my students not only improve in math, but also show a love for math. This white board table will allow me to work one-on-one or in small groups with my students during math. It will provide me with a more convenient and engaging method to help my students succeed. This table will push my students to work collaboratively with each other in a new, exciting, and interesting way that is more "up-close and personal" than the big, intimidating white board used during whole-class lessons. Math has a bad reputation among our students and I push myself to change that in my classroom. My project will make a difference because it is one step in the right direction to get 100% of my students excited for math on a daily basis. From place value to multiplication and from division to algebra--this new, interactive addition to our classroom will benefit all of my current and future fifth-grade mathematicians!
