• Decoding Is the Key to Unlocking Reading

  Thank you, donors, for another incredible donation to my classroom. I'm very happy that this particular request was funded by someone who is unknown. It makes the funding even more special. That someone who doesn't know me still believes in me.

  The students in the younger grades will surely use these books to practice their reading by embracing the phonics within. I'm super excited as their literacy teacher to be able to meet each student at their need individually, and these books will be a tremendous help!

• Keep Calm and Keep Learning!

  Thank you for your support. This particular donation was special to me because I wanted to create a place where students can go if they need some private moments to decompress and reset during our school day. Some children require a calming environment and these materials have made that more possible.

  Our calming wall lets them use their sensor of touch to make them relax and more focused. The hands on manipulatives, or as we also call them fidget materials, give students

  Something to concentrate on while they are using their social emotional strategies to calm themselves.”

The teachers pay teachers gift card, not only sports my classroom, but also supports other teachers who create lessons and activities and share them. I love this option as a way to find activities that the kids would love to learn in a fun way. This card will last the year. It affords me the opportunity to enhance and differentiate each lesson. • Starting the Year off Right

  What a great way to be welcomed back to school! Each year in June, I think about what we need in order to succeed for the following year. The items that I chose in this project will benefit me and the students throughout the entire year. The chart paper allows them to work in groups to memorialize their thinking and share their thoughts with others, I had to purchase those old lady books. You can't imagine how much these kids love this series. There are so many different ones and so I decided to purchase the first few for the new year to the holidays. My hopes is to gain the rest of the collection, so the kids can learn more about the crazy ways. The old lady eats. I can't thank you enough for always believing in me.”

• Literacy Is the Key to All Things!

  Thank you so much for being a part of our classroom. I say this all of the time, but it never seems to be enough. The classroom is a vital part of a long day in which the kids spend learning, exploring, and collaborating. The items that I choose, gratefully supported by parents and others go directly to the students. I can't wait to use some of these table, top organizers so that the children can learn to work in small groups independently. it is not only my job to educate their mind, but to prepare them for a future, where they ready to encounter any thing that is given to them with ease.”

• A Little Art and A Lot of Creativity

  Thank you is never enough for what these donations mean to me, as well as the students. It is because of donors like yourself that our visions of what we want to do in our classroom comes to fruition.

  These art supplies will make reading fun. Project based learning helps the students to bridge the gap between the fantasy of a book and the reality of their learning. • Everyone Needs a Zen Moment

  Thank you donors for always supporting our visions in our classroom! The students great appreciate your kindness and always enjoy when people believe in us.

  The materials in our Zen room are used as a way for my students to deal with their emotions in a positive and comforting way. The calming, textured sensory materials meet their needs to ground themselves when they feel overwhelmed. The softer materials assist in their comfort. Imagine a place that relaxes you, and has materials that can support you when you can't always regulate your feelings. Such a wonderful experience to know that children have resources for not only their education learning, but their social emotional learning as well.”

• A Piece of Furniture Can Make Life So Much Easier

  They were the most excited about this project!! They could not wait to have a comfy place to sit and work with each other. We can't thank you enough for the donations. I'm always amazed at how generous people are. It makes me smile to know there are so many out there who know the importance of educating our future. School is certainly different than it was years ago, and it is my pleasure to give these students the opportunity to learn and be happy in a safe and comfortable space. Happy kids!”
