  • Math is F.U.N. (Fluency Using Numbers)

    Funded Sep 22, 2017

My students are loving our new school supplies for the Math F.U.N. (Fluency Using Numbers) program. They were super excited when I opened our package! Every day, they have been using all of the wonderful math dice to play games. Students practice addition, subtraction, and multiplication with the dice. Learning math is easy when you're having fun. I love to see my students smiling while they learn. I can't thank you enough for your thoughtfulness. These supplies will last me a long time with many more students in the future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bertolette

  • Lakeshore Learning Supplies (markers, erasers, write/wipe pockets)

    Funded Aug 20, 2017

Much appreciation to you for donating to my classroom. When our supplies were delivered, the students and I were super excited! My students couldn't wait to use the new materials. Instead of using the usual paper and pencils, they were beyond happy to be able to use colorful markers and the wipe/write mats that make learning more fun.

Beyond the excitement of just working with new supplies, these markers and mats have made it a lot easier on me to prepare for daily math and language activities. I am able to reuse game mats without copying a lot of paper. Students are able to fix mistakes quickly. These materials have been a wonderful contribution to my classroom, because I can check for understanding in a short 10 minute activity.

We use these materials mostly during math time, where students work in pairs to practice math fluency, mental math, and for math games. In my photos, students were practicing comparing numbers with their partners. I look forward to using these supplies for many more years to come. Thank you for being so kind. Your donation is greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bertolette
