By allowing students to visually see the big picture while learning remotely at home, they are getting that at school experience. These supplies will help me to be able to really teach specific learning materials and targets that I could fully show at school during a regular year; but at home. My students are all about hearing, seeing and doing the work. By allowing me as their teacher to break apart complicated problems on a larger scale at home, they will not be missing the in person visual instruction that we cannot give this school year. By creating large anchor charts and working with out of the box situations or problems; I am trying to create a deeper sense of learning while at home. My EL students who learn visually can grasp learning concepts remotely and hopefully I can help eliminate one challenge for those students. I am hoping to provide a sense of normalcy with online learning and being able to discuss what is going on around the world and with them as well. The social emotional aspect of remote learning is challenging enough, but add on a pandemic; it creates challenges within its own. I want to really allow my students all the tips and tools that I can teach them to successfully handle the struggles of learning at home.
