Research shows that students are able to focus and do their best work and are more engaged in their learning when they are comfortable. These flexible seating options will help our students focus and allow for choice while learning. Students will no longer be expected to sit at a desk all day long. Instead, flexible seating options will allow students choice in where they learn best and will be comfortable. We are looking to increase student's choices and implement more movement opportunities for the students in our classrooms. The items being requested in this project will help ensure student success. The exercise balls and chair bands allow for movement while working. Sometimes students prefer to be on the floor to work, thus the cushions are being requested for this learning preference. The tall stools will allow us to raise a table we already have so students can stand and/or sit while working. These options will allow students to learn how to self-regulate and feel comfortable while learning as well as create a classroom that is truly theirs. Your generous donations will help increase student engagement and allow for more choice in learning!
