Technology is an ever growing field that needs more black and brown faces. Ozobots are an exciting way to introduce my students to the basics of coding and robotics, opening a window to see their place in the field of technology. Ozobots allow students to code at a variety of levels. First, we start by simply drawing different color-coded commands for the Bots to follow, eventually they will be coding the Bots to do all sorts of cools things with the Scratch programming language using the online companion, Ozoblocky! Not only are Ozobots a cool way to integrate technology into the classroom, they also allow students to build problem-solving skills that can be applied to any subject area and the real world!
