  • Building Stronger Partnerships with a Caregiver Resource Center

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this project a reality. I cannot wait to be able to set up the resource center for our families. I know that they will love the resources and the support that we are able to provide them because of you.

Your support means more than you know.”

  • Chill Club for Chill Students

    Funded May 9, 2024

This is one of the most fun and rewarding projects I have had funded. The air hockey table, basketball game and magna-tiles have not only transformed our chill club and provided my students with hours of fun, but it's created opportunities for my students to interact with each other.

My student have difficulty socializing with each other and I have seen quiet, reserved students play together and become friends while playing with theses games. I cannot tell you what that means to me and my coworkers and it is all because of you.Thank you so much.”

  • Freedom On Three Wheels: Ride Beyond Limits

    Funded Dec 7, 2023

I wish you could have seen the look on my student's faces when they saw their new tricycles! The excitement and joy that these have brought them in unlike anything I have seen. Students with significant mobility issues have discovered a new found freedom with theses bikes, as they ride around the gym unassisted.

Students who typically opt out of participating in gym are now eagerly waiting in line for their turn to use the tricycles and parents have even asked where they can get one because their children are enjoying them so much.

Without you, my students would not have these opportunities and I am thankful for you all every time I see their grinning faces and hear their excited giggles.”

  • Positive Reinforcement for Positive Behavior

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my students. My students were so excited to see the new items that they can buy in the school store! Students have been working hard to get on level and save up their money to buy the exciting new items in our store.

We have seen many of our students get to level two for the first time all year and they are so excited to be able to spend their SES cash. It is amazing what incentives can do to improve the overall mood of the students.

Without you, we would not have been able to provide our students with such amazing incentives. Your generosity has not gone unnoticed.”

  • Spread Some Warmth

    Funded Nov 13, 2023

I wish you could have been there to see the look on my students faces when they received their hats and gloves. Despite the fact that it was very warm in the building on the day I handed them out, every student couldn't wait to put them on and we had to convince them to take them off so they wouldn't overheat. They were so excited and adorable.

Although it hasn't rained yet, they were also very excited about the umbrellas and they waited to try them out right away.

Because of you, my students are prepared for their work shifts and will be warm and dry.

Thank you so much for your unbelievable kindness.”

  • Making Memories, Making Friends

    Funded Sep 27, 2023

Your donation has already provided my students with access to so many visuals, games, and Social Skills lessons. I have been able to make If/Then boards to help them stay on task, they have visual reminders for school appropriate behavior, and I even was able to make board games, playing cards, and matching games using the lamination sheets and Velcro dots.

My students were so excited for their new visuals and they now have an additional way to express themselves. Your donation gave my students a voice and will forever be grateful.

    Thank you so much.”

  • Refusing to Stay Silent- Social Skills

    Funded Jun 27, 2023

I can't begin to describe the look on my students faces when they saw the mountain of dough containers, the dough mats, Social-Emotional matchup cards and emotion sliders. They could not wait to begin using the materials (especially the dough) and were all excited to participate in Social Skills (YAY!!!)

For a class that works on skills that are very challenging for these students, I've had 100% participation and students are excited and asking to do "one more," even when class was over. These materials allowed EVERY student to participate in the lesson and added a fun element to the class.

I am beyond thankful for your generous donation. I know that there are a lot of amazing projects on here, and for you to help me and my students is something that I will never forget.”

  • Exciting Books, Excited Readers

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Your donation to my classroom has opened up so many new experiences and opportunities for my students. To have access to a classroom library that contains books that they are able to read and understand, but also are on topics of interest to them is priceless. Being able to provide some equity in my classroom and work on my students reading fluency has been amazing.

Students truly enjoyed the first text we read, "Long Way Down." Everyone was engaged and excited to read each day. We are currently finishing up our second book, "I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic." They have been following alone to teacher read-aloud, which increases word recognition, and we are now working on small group read aloud. All of my students are interested in the Titanic which has decreased the frustration level that the students normally experience when reading.

All of this was made possible by you. Thank you for your generosity and support for our classroom.”

  • Water is the Key to Life

    Funded Nov 17, 2021

There are not enough words to describe how appreciated your generosity is. The impact your donation has had on the whole school is remarkable. I wish you could have seen the students faces when they received their water bottles. It was so sweet.

The second the students got their water bottles, they asked if they could fill them up. They began decorating them so that they know which bottle is theirs, and they took such pride in picking out the perfect water bottle stickers to display on them. The teachers are so grateful because the amount of distractions for water requests has been cut down dramatically.

Because of you, all of our students have access to clean drinking water, the teachers has less distractions in their classrooms, and our school has taken a greener step forward in helping our planet. A sincere and heartfelt "Thank you" from all of us here at SES.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. LeCours

  • Accessing Technology in the Classroom

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. Your willingness to spend your hard-earned money on a classroom of students you have never met is incredible. What may seem like an act of generosity to you, changes the way my students learn and has a huge impact.

The computer mice and headphones have been used in my room daily. Students have loved that they are able to use their computers with more ease because of the computer mice and have been a lot less frustrated completing assignments. In addition, students are able to watch videos for class or listen to music while they complete their work without distracting all of their classmates (and their teacher).

Thank you for supporting my students and our classroom. The students and I greatly appreciate it.”
