The Chinese New Year
Funded Jan 10, 2025This project has enabled us research the Chinese Lunar New Year. We are excited to learn about this exciting and unique culture. We plan to research Chinese culture, especially the Chinese Lunar New Year. We have used the headphones to listen to stories and information about the Chinese Lunar New Year, as my students learn best through visual and auditory experiences. The pen has helped my students navigate the computer/iPad as they research. After we research the Chinese Lunar New Year, we will make posters of the information we have learned. I am excited about this project and hope you are too!”

Funded Dec 19, 2024I am blessed to teach an amazing group of moderate/severe, special education, high school students. Our school is a Title One school serving a diverse population. The students I work with are determined and strive to persevere through social, emotional, and academic challenges.
Human activities, a changing climate, and natural disasters are rapidly altering the face of our planet.
With our new laptop,, students will get an interactive before-and-after view of these changes on Earth. Some of these locations have suffered a disaster, such as a fire or a tsunami, or illustrate the effects of human activities, such as dam building or urban growth. We will have the opportunity to examine climate change and learn from our mistakes. Thank you for supporting students with unique needs. I am grateful!”

Funded Apr 2, 2024Thank you for making this PD a reality. I needed this PD to better serve my students. It helped me understand best practices and special education law.
I now know how to comply with the latest special education laws to better serve my students. It has strengthen my knowledge of how recent special education legislation affects school policies and operations and how I should navigate myriad scenarios that may arise. I also learned what to do and what not to do in 504 plans. It also helped me evaluate the legal protection offered by the Individualized Education Program (IEP), and successfully handle disciplinary actions for students with disabilities, as well as learn about best practices from a legal standpoint. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Funded Apr 25, 2024As a special educator, I'm constantly looking for additional resources to help teach my students literacy and math skills and how to become lifelong learners who make informed decisions.
Many students often need additional materials to help meet their individual needs.
As a special education teacher, our lessons drive on individualized academic goals which often need additional resources. The amazing resource for many teachers is Teachers Pay Teachers, or TPT, to help meet the individual needs of many students in our classrooms.
These packets will be used daily to practice math and literacy skills via distance learning.
These skills will help my students become stewards of their money. TPT is a magical resource that will help my students learn new things in a fun way. Thank you so much for funding this project. What a blessing!”

Funded Apr 25, 2024Students are receptive to learning when they learn through hands-on activities, figures and dolls offers an entertaining approach to introducing new concepts to children. These figures and dolls can boost communication skills through structured and playful teacher-led opportunities. I will use them in the classroom to target certain skills.
These figures offer to our children an opportunity for role-playing that allows them to explore new personalities, and ideas and develop their imagination.
They can enhance communication skills, listening, emotional development, social interactions, motor skills and creativity. By using animal puppets, I hope to foster a lifelong love of learning.
Thank you so much for supporting this project. what a blessing.”
