Math Riders!
Funded Nov 29, 2023Thank you for the opportunity to give my students a support that they can use where their learning is personalized. It has accelerated learning in the classroom and students are excited to learn. They are now motivated to use the resources available , for example, calculators and ipads, because they now have meaning to them. Using these tools to enhance learning is an important responsibility of teacher's today. Now my students can be excited to use the technology available with a program where they can have a voice to choose a skill that will help them achieve greatness.
Using Ixl has build their confidence and motivation because they can now work on the pre-requisite skills needed in order to work on grade level material. It has made it easier for them to find their mistakes and learn from them.
Thank you for your continuous support and for being my partner in education.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Collado

Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you for giving my 7th grade students the intervention resources they need in order to build their understanding of the essential content that they need in order to continue academic success. These resources are not only engaging but the activities are thought-provoking and encourages them to grow in their mathematical understanding and identity. It has built motivation and confidence to a level where lessons are more student centered and peer discussions are more engaging where students enjoy learning from each other.

Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you for investing into the education of our future leaders. Giving my students the opportunity to watch videos, perform hands on activities and collaborating with their peers through interesting science articles has made them excited to learn.
The opportunity of giving them the choice to read on their own or listen to the articles aloud has given them the confidence to work in groups and have deeper discussions with their peers.
My students have also loved using the templates and graphic organizers where they have realized that they can easily connect the work done in Science to other core subjects because they are all connected.
Reading in collaboration with Science is now something my students look forward to.
Thank you for giving them this opportunity.”

Funded Sep 4, 2022I want to thank you for allowing my students the opportunity to become independent learners through magazines that connect what they are learning in the classroom to non-fiction current event real-world articles. The Read-aloud addition has provided the confidence they need to want to read independently and not shy away from reading and learning Math.
Often times, my students would ask, " When will we ever use this kinda Math in the real world"? It's a question that honestly can not be explained without having the resources available for them to visually acknowledge and experience the world of words. It is important to connect our learning to the non-fiction world we live in. These magazines not only have answered the importance of learning Math and connecting it to the real world, but, It's allowed them to see how Math and careers in our wold co-exist and rely on each-other for even the smallest of task and has supported them with solving problems using the interactive video lessons and lesson steps embedded in the article.
Providing them the opportunity to learn with Scholastic Math Magazines have opened them up to a new level of excitement. With technology on the rise, Scholastic Math has also given them the opportunity to engage with the magazines digitally. Let's face it...students love to use their cell phones, and providing them a choice of using their cell phones to read, is a no brainer. The digital platform gives them access to videos, games, puzzles and most importantly fun ways to incorporate Math in the real world.
Thank you Donors for giving my students more than just a resource to guide their learning but to be able to lay back on their bean bags and enjoy reading what interest them but most importantly, making reading and learning Math fun!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Collado
