  • Caution: Mathematicians At Work

    Thank you very much for your generous donation! The materials you have donated have been helping us with hands on learning. We are now able to grasp higher concepts easier and we are able to visually grasp concepts that are abstract. With your donation, we can have math center time and have enough materials for small group work. We really enjoy using the math manipulative's to help us solve problems. We have even been able to solve Malti-step problems with the help of our new math materials. As a result, we will certainly be real world mathematicians when we grow up! Thank you!!”

My classroom is a second home for my students. Each day they walk in the room they are welcomed with open arms and given a sense of family. They are challenged each day with different tasks and are supported when completing tasks. The students are encouraged to form peer relationships and learn necessary social skills that they can take with them throughout their life. Each student is unique and we celebrate this is many ways. The students enjoy learning all about each other, various cultures and backgrounds. I, as the teacher especially love learning about each child, their backgrounds, interests, strengths and weaknesses. Throughout the year, it is amazing to watch each student grow socially, emotionally and academically. They become very proud of themselves when they are able to complete a task that they could not complete in the beginning of the year. These wonderful moments are celebrated each day in the class..
