All of the requested items were strategically selected by a team of professionals. For example, wagons are on our list of materials. Current research suggests time in nature improves attention span, cognitive development, brain growth, and overall wellness. Wagons would provide our students with the safety and necessary intervention required to explore the outdoors. Our elementary school is currently unable to provide age appropriate playground equipment; therefore, our kids cannot go outside for recess. Your donation would enable our students to access the wooded trails on school grounds. That would be an incredible gift! In addition to the wagons, we are asking for a light table and manipulatives. The table has calming properties and is highly engaging which our kids need since many have heightened senses and shorter attention spans. Lastly, academic task folders are on our list. These will help us differentiate language and math lessons, so all students in our classroom can be successful. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
