Learning centers are a large part of our daily Kindergarten life. Although curriculum requires that much of our day be very structured, a daily free play time is still allowed. I like to arrange these learning opportunities into categories that the students can explore and pick from, such as reading, writing, art, fine motor, dramatic play, etc. The items I am requesting will help aid in successfully structured activities that the students can freely pick between; all aid in individualized learning oppertunities!
Clip boards will aid in giving a surface for students to write on, while not sitting at desks and out exploring their learning environment.
The leveled reading books will give my students "best fit" options when picking books to read on their own. Each child will be assigned a book box level they can pick from, that will give each student books fit to the level they can currently read at.
The drying rack will help save space when students are painting. Right now we only have 1 table in the room to set wet things on, that is also used for many other purposes.
Thank you for taking an interest in our classroom, as well as my first year ever teaching!!
