These students have a challenging time regulating their sensory needs. They often cannot sit still for longer than 5 minutes and have a difficult time attending to auditory or visual stimuli, causing them to miss imperative instructional inferences during a lesson. These materials can help them stay focused and engaged for a longer time span and ready to actively participate. These students require an individualized education to support their diverse needs. The laminating pouches, Velcro, and plastic containers are a great way to provide these students with individualized lessons, known as tasks boxes, to promote independence and the structure they require to be self-determined individuals. The task boxes will also be a great resource teach grade level course content within a group setting on an individualized basis.
