The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students is to help build their vocabulary, word skills and spelling skills! My students are extremely creative and enjoy hands on projects. We have a lot of blended learning stations going on through out our 90 minute reading block each week. In order for me to keep the students engaged and willing to learn it is my responsibility to provide new and exciting ways for this to happen. I am right out of college and this is my first year teaching so coming up with the funds for creative and hands on ways to teach my students has been difficult. I want to ensure that my students have every need necessary to be the best they can! By donating to this project, you will not only be helping this outstanding group of first graders improve and increase their attention and focus but will also be helping increase their academic achievement! By creating the different stations within our literacy block, students will be able to explore and better their vocabulary. My students will use the letter stamps to not only learn how to spell sight words but also create sentences containing their sight words. The will get to manipulate wiki sticks and pipe cleaners into different letters. As a class, we enjoy playing games and are very competitive so having Bingo games of our sight words would be a great way to have fun while learning! This groups of first graders deserve the best and I want to provide that for them! This project will help these students get the education they want and deserve!
