Many of the students in my classroom are very active and they are visual and tactile learners. Having these materials will help my students to be able to learn about the skill, technique, and process that it takes to create ceramic pots. My students will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of Native American pottery. They will also gain an appreciation for modern art through this project. My students will be greatly impacted as they will be able to use their hands to create a piece of art that will last them a lifetime. Many of my students have never created anything with their hands and this gives them the opportunity to do so. Participating in this project will help all of my students to absorb the information in a new way where they will never forget it! The students in my classroom will work together to accomplish the final product. Working together will create a better sense of community in my classroom. Thank you for helping to create a long lasting lesson in my students' hearts.
