Much Needed Supplies!
Funded Aug 20, 2019Thank you for the wonderful supplies we received! The students were so excited with all the new markers, crayons, colored pencils, pencils, stickies, glue sticks, and pencil sharpener. We use them all the time!
Every morning the students write in their journals and draw pictures using the colored pencils. We also have studios and art is one of the studios and they have to illustrate, create, and design their ideas. We also use these supplies during reading, math, and centers.
Thank you again for your generosity! You are helping to create a vibrant learning environment. We truly appreciate all of the supplies donated!”

Amazing Learning Tools!
Funded Mar 6, 2019Thank you for the wonderful materials we received! The students were so excited when they saw the dry erase kidney shaped table. We use it for our guided reading centers and our Math stations every day.
Throughout the day, we have a lot of small group instruction going on. We have been using the dry erase table for our small guided reading groups and math groups. Every day we meet with at least two or three guided reading groups. This table fits our small groups perfectly and it's very spacious for them. The students are able to jot down answers, write predictions, questions, and things they notice and wonder about while reading. In math, the students are able to solve problems and equations right on the table. It makes it a lot easier for kids to solve problems because they can also erase when they make mistakes.
We will continue to use this item for our small group instruction throughout the day. My students were very happy and grateful to receive this amazing item! This is a wonderful addition to our classroom learning environment!”

Totally Terrific Learning Tools
Funded Sep 5, 2018Thank you for the wonderful materials I received! The students were so excited when they saw the colorful chairs for our guided reading center and our beautiful easel. The small gray desk is helping us organize the materials for the day.
Throughout the day, we have a lot of small group instruction going on. We have been using the colorful chairs for our small guided reading groups and math groups. The bright colors of the chairs makes it really inviting for the students to come to the group. They love to choose a color to sit in. Along with the chairs, we also use our large whiteboard easel. The easel allows students to come up and model their work on the board for the students to see. We also use our easel for the daily morning message. It is posted every morning and the students respond to the question. I am also able to use it for modeling instruction, whether its whole group instruction on the rug or in small groups. This easel has many uses in our classroom.
We will continue to use these items for our small group and whole group instruction throughout the day. My students were very happy and grateful to receive these amazing items!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Neukom Family Foundation and 2 other donors.Keeping Our Classroom Organized
Funded Mar 23, 2018Thank you so much for the birch cubbies with trays! This is my first year at a new school teaching second grade, so I didn't have a lot of areas to store and organize the students' belongings.
When the students first saw the cubbies and trays, they were so excited! Before receiving this gift, we stored their notebooks and folders in a cloth seat sack on the back of their chairs. These sacks became very heavy and cumbersome and papers and books would fall out onto the floor. These new cubbies store papers, books, folders and pencil cases in a student-friendly and tidy way.”

Bringing My Classroom into 2017
Funded Nov 20, 2017Thank you so much for your amazing donations! The students in room 208 are so appreciative of your generosity. The printer, InFocus machine and new cabinet are making a difference in our classroom every day.
The printer has changed our whole writing process! We are now able to publish our written stories. In addition, I am able to print out color pictures and maps from our reading curriculum, which really enhances the reading lessons. The students really love being able to display their printed stories.
The InFocus allows me to project the math curriculum on my whiteboard. It also helps me to project my read aloud stories, maps and photos. This is especially beneficial for my English Language Learners and students with learning differences.
The white board I requested was out of stock, so I purchased a much needed storage cabinet. This helps me to organize the students' reading, writing and math materials, along with their homework assignments. This has been a huge help in organizing our classroom and maximizing space. Thanks for your kindness! You have really improved the learning climate of our classroom.”
