    Thank you so much for your contributions to our classroom. Many of my students come to class without the supplies they need to express themselves or their creativity. It means so much to me and my scholars that you help stock our classroom with the supplies we so desperately needed. Because of you, no student will feel left out when they enter my classroom!

    I truly do thank you from the bottom of my heart. Each and every scholar now has headphones to stay focused while working on their computerized math. Scholars are no longer using kleenex tissues to clear their dry-erase boards of black residue. At this point of the school year, we are working on fractions and because of your generosity, every scholar has a set of fraction towers to work with to aid in having a better understanding.

    Through your donation, we have been able to accomplish so much more academically and continue working towards becoming better scholars. You truly make a difference for us, and we are extremely grateful.”

My scholars want and have the capabilities to learn. However, because of their economics disadvantage there is a huge limit. Hurricane Harvey was devastating to us here in Houston, Texas. However, I am instilling in my scholars "what doesn't break us only makes us stronger". Our school didn't receive much structural damage , but the last few weeks have taken its toll on my scholars more from a psychological and emotional stand point. Some are without the day to day necessities, they so desperately need.. due to the financial strain on their family being displaced from their homes. So, that's why I want my scholars to come to school feeling like this is their safe haven (no worries) and focusing on learning with a growth mindset. I feel with the supplies requested I will be on the road to success in creating that safe place.
