With the extinction of the overhead projector, digital projectors have become the classroom norm. Projectors are a necessity when it comes to everyday lesson plans, across all subjects. For my class specifically, I will be using the projector for the daily powerpoint, lesson videos, timers, and educational games. As of now, many of my lessons are given orally and throughout most of the lesson I am walking around making sure students are correctly following along. With a Document Camera, students will be able to accurately follow along with my lesson as I give realtime examples they can model after. Without the camera, the productivity of my lessons are often subject only to my students' abilities to follow along with my oral directions. My visual learners will have a physical reference they can follow along with, which can help minimize distractions and opportunities to get lost within the content. I hope to give my students dependable access to a projector, which my school is currently not able to provide. The additional items are basic supplies I feel my students will use, and need, throughout the entirety of the school year. In total transparency, this is my first year teaching and many of these supplies I have not been able to accumulate yet.
