Binding Makes Books
Funded Oct 17, 2022Thank you so much for you generous donations. The amount of students that have had the benefit of having their own books is incredible. Students love having their own work bound together and nicely saved together. This has helped me create workbooks for students to easily access and store. My hope is that at the end of the year, students will have their own portfolio of work that they can save for the future. I plan to continue to use these materials for the incoming years. I know these books will help my students in being successful.”

Funded Nov 16, 2022It is with great gratitude that I write this thank you letter. The amount of students that have had the benefit of the reading books crosses multiple grades. I started out by book bags that included both the books and teacher lesson plan card. These were made available to any teacher who needs to add additional reading text to their small groups. The ability for teachers to provide quality materials without having to purchase on their own has impacted many students. The ability to have these books to use not only in my classroom but the rooms of my fellow teammates brings quality materials without much prep, saving time for my fellow colleagues. We are now in a time (3 years later) where they can partner up without socially distancing themselves. These materials are not only supporting our reading skills but social skills as well. My next steps is promoting and creating student activities for each text. My hope is that this will provide the reinforcement for skills but also time for teachers to pull and work with specific students. This grant has given our students so much.”

Snacks Everyday
Funded Oct 17, 2022Thank you so much for your donations. Having snacks in the classroom daily has really made a difference. I live in an area that was affected by recent hurricanes and many students lost everything. Being able to provide my students with a snack, has made parents lives easier and made me feel good knowing they can go home with full bellies. The students love the variety of snacks that they have to choose from and get excited when I add something new. These snacks will last us a long time and for that I am truly grateful!”

Funded May 4, 2022My students were so excited to see all the boxes come in. I kept everything a surprise until the day of. Students were jumping up and down with excitement on our Disney day. They were so happy with all the Disney things they were able to take home thanks to you!
On the last day of school, I gave each student the bucket filled with bubbles, sunglasses, and chalk. They were so happy to take these things home and have fun filled summer.
Thank you so much for putting smiles on my students' faces. I cannot wait to share my next project with you.”

Funded Apr 11, 2022Thank you so much for donating to this project. These magnetic shapes have really helped my students explore shapes and their attributes. We have been able to use these materials to build 3D shapes and use our imaginations.
My students get so excited every time I take out the magnets. If they could, they would use them all day long. We use them during math and inside recess so they are getting double the use.
Right now, we are learning about fairy tales in my classroom. We are using what we have learned about shapes to make shape castles.”

Fill Me Up!
Funded May 24, 2021Thank you so much for your donations. My students have really enjoyed all of the snacks. If a student forgets a snack, they do not have to worry about being hungry. They just go get a snack from our snack bin. This has been a huge relief to the parents who cannot afford snacks as well.
These snacks last me from the end of last school to this school. We are starting to run low on snacks so my next project will be another refill. Another project idea I have, is a colored printer for the classroom. This will help me make engaging hands on centers that the students will love and learn from.”

Funded Dec 16, 2020Thank you so much for your donations! I now do not have to worry about if my students will be hungry when they leave school. My students were so excited when they saw all the boxes of snacks come in. I created a snack crate in my classroom so everyday at snack time, students can just go over and get which ever snack they want.
I have had so many parents thank me for having snacks in the classroom for their children. This is something that they do not have to worry about packing now.
These snacks usually last between 3-4 months in my classroom. My next project is going to be a snack refill project that includes water bottles. This year, the water fountains are not allowed to be drunk from. This means each student has to bring a water bottle to school. So many of my students forget them on a daily basis. I have a mini fridge in my classroom that I have been storing extra bottle for them. My next project will help me refill this.”

Funded Oct 30, 2020Thank you so much for your donations to my class! I cannot tell you how happy my students were when they came to school and all their supplies were bought for them. This really took a load off of the families as well. They were very thankful to not have to buy supplies this year.
The supplies will last me past this year. It is great to know that at any time if a student needs a new box of crayons, I can just go into my supply cabinet and get that for them. I cannot tell you how many pencils we went through already this year but we still have plenty left to last us through the year.
Again, thank you so much!”

Funded May 5, 2020Thank you so much for your donation to this project. These TeachersPayTeachers gift cards have helped so much especially during this COVID time. I had to create all new lessons for my virtual students. With these gift cards, I was able to buy engaging lessons to make it easier on myself. The best part about these lessons that I've bought, they include work for my online students and the same work for my in person students. I love how I can do the same thing with both sets of students. This has really made my transition to concurrent teaching all that easier.”

Funded May 5, 2020I cannot thank you enough for this donation. My students no longer go hungry every day. Our lunch is at 10:10 in the morning so by 1, they are hungry again. With these classroom snacks, my students don't have to worry about bringing their own snacks. The parents of my students are happy that they have one less thing to worry about during these times. With all the variety of snacks, my students can choose whichever snack they would like. We are going into our sixth week of school and we still have tons of snack left. Thank you so much!”
