This is my first year teaching and I couldn't be happier to start this adventure! Way out here, we have students from rural, yet hardly simple backgrounds. This small town is filled with families that want to see their kids excel farther than they, themselves, ever dreamed of. Many just lack the resources (I have experienced this). Although we struggle, our community is one of the strongest when it comes to pulling together to help out a family in need and giving back to others. This is why I decided to teach in this small town; I want to help give back to the community that gave so much to me as a child. These young, eager kids deserve the best and I will consistently do my part in making sure they get what they need to be successful.
