Your generous donation to our project will improve our 3rd grade classroom by building stronger readers and writers. Students will be responding to Because of Winn Dixie. Students are thrilled to begin reading their fist novel. Your donation will help improve student's reading comprehension and vocabulary skills. Reading and vocabulary is a huge part our day. We begin by seeing how the story relates to them. We compare and contrast our culture with what we are going to reading about, and discuss what we want to know about our topic of choice. I will be working with ESL students and they would be thrilled to get and know this great selection of literature.
