  • STEM Fun in the Classroom Library

    Funded Mar 18, 2025

not have the words to express my gratitude for your support for our project. We try to offer as many opportunities to our students Thank you so much! Your support makes it possible to see some hspoy, exploring and excited for learning faces. The supplies that you are providing for my students will allow them some great opportunities to have some adventures right in the classroom!”

    Mrs. Ricci

  • Techie First Graders in Need of Headphones!

    Funded Mar 7, 2025

Thank you for your generosity. My students

will be so grateful and excited. Because of your support, students will be able to learn without distraction and gain independence.

I can picture the excitement on their faces and it puts a smile on my face to think of that!

    Thank you.”

  • Math Tools for Hands-on Learning!

    Funded Dec 27, 2024

My students were eager to open and excited to see their new math number racks! We were previously using diy ones and because of the frequent usage they kept falling apart.

They love their sturdy new ones! We placed them on the trays (I was also able to purchase!) for easy access. Now each table has their own set of number racks making counting, adding, and subtracting a little easier until mental math is mastered. Having a tangible manipulative is key for this process and it makes individual learning easy and fun!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ricci

  • Creating a Welcoming Safe Place

    Funded Dec 7, 2024

The classroom for young children is where we spend a majority of our day together. Creating a welcoming, organized and inviting space gives a sense of comfort and sets them up for success to begin their day ready to learn.

Thank you so much for your support and generosity to help this vision become a reality.

The students are always excited to see new things and learn. It's one of the many things that makes my love for early childhood! Seeing these new additions causes excitement and appreciation and we thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ricci

  • WIGGLES and JIGGLES

    Funded Aug 13, 2021

My students and I thank you so much, once again! It warms my heart to have been chosen for such great generosity. I have rearranged my classroom so we can get back to our small grouping and flexible seating after a very challenging past year.

The class now has space with seating on the floor, comfy soft seating, wobble seating, as well as high table seating to choose from. They are allowed to choose a space in the classroom where they feel they can accomplish their best learning.

When I first introduced this option their excitement was so fulfilling - they continue this excitement daily when it is time to choose our seating (they remind me every morning to grab the name cup so we can choose!).

My goal for the upcoming year is to add a few more pieces so all students can have a choice everyday and eliminate the traditional style desks remaining.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ricci

  • Creating a Space for In-School Learners!

    Funded Sep 24, 2020

Thank you! Our process started as we began by deciding on a theme. We voted and black and white polka dots with a wood paper was the winner!

My students are enjoying their space and were thrilled to help put up new borders, paper, and bulletins! Having them involved in this process truly made it feel like their own.

They were just as excited to create you thank you notes. Their words were, "wow that was so kind!" And "when I grow up I want to help classrooms too." They are such kind hearted beings and recognize that in others.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ricci

This classroom project was brought to life by Kleenex® Brand and one other donor.
  • Classroom Social Distant School Supplies

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

My students were so excited to come in and see that each of them had a designated space for their backpacks, lunches, and snack! Their smiles are priceless.

They continually get compliments about their room and are more then willing to share that we were lucky enough to have donors that help us achieve our supplies!

This support has allowed them to feel comfortable in their space within the classroom and as we are in a time of such uncertainty it warms my heart that I was able to give them that thanks to YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ricci

Students who are engaged and interested in things they are studying, are expected to have a better knowledge retention. As mentioned before, technology can help to encourage active participation in the classroom which also is a very important factor for increased knowledge retention. Having an iPad in the technology center will allow me to individualize instruction to cater to the specific needs of the student. Each day the children visit 3 centers in rotation. Having one of these center rotations as a technology center to reinforce previously taught content reinforces that objective. No one learns in the same way because of different learning styles and different abilities. Having a technology center will benefit the students allowing for great opportunities to make learning more effective. What is more, technology can provide more opportunities for struggling or disabled students. A flexible seating classroom is one in which traditional seating charts are replaced with seating arrangements that allows the student to sit where they choose. One of its principal objectives is to reduce the duration of sedentary periods. Research has shown this to increase academic participation, performance and sense of community.
