Setting 4th Graders Up for Success!
Funded Aug 1, 2024Thank you so much for your generous donation at the beginning of this year. The materials you helped provide for my classroom have been a crucial part of our daily routines, and continue to be helpful tools for learning on a daily basis. Students use homework folders every day to take materials home and return assignments to school. White board markers are used consistently throughout the day to check student understanding in Math and Language Arts. The transparency sheets have allowed students to preserve important learning tools in their folders in order to use them throughout the year. I am so grateful for your generosity, and I know your contribution will continue to help my students and me! Thank you!”

Headphones for Independent Learning
Funded Jan 17, 2024Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom with the headphones you helped fund. These headphones were a comfortable upgrade for my students from the school provided ear buds, and were used throughout the duration of the school year, including during standardized testing. My students were very grateful for this addition to their daily independent learning during small group instruction.
Creating a functional classroom environment with routines that support student success takes time and practice. I appreciate your contribution to my journey in setting up my students for success.”

Flexible Seating Frees the Mind!
Funded Sep 10, 2023Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom earlier this year. The flexible seating options for my students has been such a valuable contribution to the classroom culture. Room 8 is genuinely grateful for your generosity.
My students feel comfortable enough to move around as they learn, which is crucial for some learners. The yoga balls have provided much needed movement for my students during whole group instruction, and have allowed my students to move around the classroom to collaborate more easily.
My favorite moments with the flexible seating options are when I look around my room and see some students sitting on the floor in the library with lap desks, other students sitting at table bouncing away on yoga balls, and a few students standing together, all equally productive. Students feel empowered when they have autonomy over their work space. Thank you for contributing to this part of independence in my classroom.”

Funded Aug 6, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom earlier this school year. I was able to utilize the materials in various ways to create a warm and inviting environment in my classroom. The materials have improved organization in my classroom and provided easy access to materials to improve routines for my students to be set up with success.
The calm corner has been consistently utilized this year thanks to your generous donation. I am so grateful for the resources I was given to provide my students with the best possible learning space possible. Thank you so much again!”

Funded Nov 29, 2022Apologies for the late response, but I wanted to thank you for your generous donation this past school year. I can't tell you how much your contributions have benefitted my classroom throughout the school year. I was able to give students the opportunity to create beautiful, detailed art with the think marker set. We also collaborated in math to share different strategies in small groups. I have made countless classroom posters with the laminator that I will be able to use for many years to come. Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom!”

Funded Nov 3, 2021Apologies that this letter is coming to you quite late, but I wanted to thank you for your generous donation to my classroom this past school year. My students greatly benefitted from having a fully stocked prize box that incentivized positive behaviors.
I can't describe how thrilled students were each time they were able to purchase a prize from the prize box with the points they had earned for their hard work. They loved the animal erasers, and various school supplies that kept them engaged and learning.
In the future, I would love to continue using incentives in my classroom but may pivot to more collaborative rewards in order to create a sense of community with my students. I appreciate your donation, and look forward to sharing my growth as a teacher with each project I complete! Thank you again!”

Creative Minds Wiggling to Learn!
Funded Aug 16, 2022Since school started, my students have adjusted to their new classroom with incredible enthusiasm! Upon meeting this class I knew they were a group of students that thrived when they were able to move around as they learned. The wobble stools, floor cushions and lap desks have been an amazing addition to my classroom routines. During daily small group or partner work, they have the freedom to find a spot in the class to get a break from sitting at their desks. This allows opportunity for movement and flexibility in our learning space.
When the kids were first introduced to the wobble stools, there was a true frenzy. Everyone wanted to use them every day, but it gave us an opportunity to make a routine to ensure everyone gets a turn. Now, we all share the materials, but also make sure those students that benefit most from them get to choose their cushion first. This has been a great lesson in generosity and understanding for my students, and they have adjusted to the routine impeccably. In this class, we know that learning does not always take place in a chair, and students deserve choice in their learning environment. Thank you so much for your generous contribution to my classroom!”

Eager Readers Need New Books!
Funded Aug 27, 2021Since your generous donations, not only were we able to expand our library in the classroom significantly, but I was also able to let students borrow books to take home for at home reading. Thank you so much for contributing to our community of readers. The graphic novels added to my library have encouraged students who are less confident in their reading skills to finish a book, which is a HUGE deal for kids who are not so crazy about silent reading time. I have also been able to do some read alouds and "book tastings" to give students the inspiration to try out a new type of book. My students and I are so appreciative for all of your generosity, thank you so much!”

21st Century Learners Need 21st Century Tools!
Funded Jun 11, 2018I cannot communicate how thankful my class and I are for your generous donation. My classroom community has greatly improved because of the new additions to our technology station. Each day, my students have 30 minutes of centers, during which I have valuable small group instruction time with reading groups. During this time, the rest of the class engages with different activities that enrich topics that were previously learned or practice crucial skills. Our technology station is, not only the most popular with the students, but an imperative time students can practice reading skills, math facts, and typing.
Every day, I hear a new chorus of "Yes! Technology station!" The thrill I see in my students as they listen to stories with the headphones, or as they scour articles on the iPads is incomparable. Just the other day, my student was overjoyed by the chance to listen to a fable we had learned about in Language Arts. These moments motivate my students to continue reading and help expose them to a variety of texts. Your generous donation to our classroom has made such a difference in the lives of my students, I cannot thank you enough.”
