    Funded Aug 23, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations! My students are going to enjoy making art using these supplies! Students will develop many skills as well as being able to express their emotions through art. I can't wait to have students use their supplies. Thank you for making a difference in children's lives and mine! Again, thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Teran

  • Creating Future Innovators in Science and Engineering

    Funded Aug 17, 2019

Thank you very much for your generosity. The students were super happy and felt special in receiving these wonderful gifts.

Our students are enjoying creating, problem solving and using teamwork to build structures for science, math, social studies and for so much more! An example of how we used the manipulatives was a team challenge for creating a tall sturdy home for our imaginary people stuck on an island. Each team of 5 students had to design their homes then build it. It was great to see how teams communicated with each other and how some redesigned their structures to make them sturdy and tall enough for the imaginary people. The students had a great time with this challenge!

Students love these manipulatives so much that they want to use them constantly. They even find ways include them in our lessons we are teaching in class every day. Thank you very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Teran

Students will use these materials in several different ways. During math, they will use the materials for geometry by making different shapes with them as well as creating number sense. During science, students will create different structures that will include challenges. For example, creating homes that can withstand different weather patterns. Using these hands-on materials, along with their peers, will also ignite the enjoyment of learning and innovating. The materials will foster collaboration, problem solving and communication skills as students work with one another. The materials are a valuable resource that provides fun and learning at the same time. The greatest part of all is that these materials can be used in different subject areas that will create innovators for the future as they build!
