I need a way to provide my students with the information theiy"re asking for without being confined to my desk. I plan on using this iPad for one-on-one conversations with students at their desk, in the hall or wherever they may be.
Students oftentimes have questions about a project, their grades or something completely random stemming from a conversation happening in class. When these moments arise, many times in other areas of the school, I have to take a break from what I'm doing to find their answer. The mobility the iPad offers would allow me to seamlessly answer the questions burning in my students minds without having to pause and return to my desk.
I also plan on using it for classroom management. I will be able to use programs that promote positive behavior and can contact a parent without having to take the time to sit down and make a phone call. I would love a way to discretely send parents a message (positive too!) about their child without having to interrupt the learning continuum of the classroom.
My goal is to offer my students everything they need to be successful. So many of them are already struggling with so much already. I need a way to improve parent communication and to make myself and the information my students need from me more accessible and readily available.
