  • ELA Supplies and Classroom Restock

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you again for funding the amazing supplies for my classroom! Our ELA supplies are so neatly organized in our magazine holders. I love having. a set place for them so students always know where they are. I am also loving my portable desk. It allows me to be more mobile in the classroom so I can check on each student and support their learning. My students are also loving the new books we received. They use them for book reports and for the Battle of the Books competition, so they will be well prepared when the time comes. I am so grateful for your support of my classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Beesley

  • Classroom and Library Refresh

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation! My students love sitting in our reading chair and pulling out one of our new books when they have independent work time. I also so appreciate having a class set of the novel Restart. When students have their own copy of the book to read from, they are able to follow along with the story better and stay on task. We are currently reading this novel and my students are able to find themes, watch characters develop through the story, and identify key plot points. Their grasp of the book is much improved by having individual copies. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

  • New Supplies for A New Year

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you again for supporting my classroom! My students have loved the new supplies. We use our whiteboards every day in class as they help my students engage in different subjects. They love to play games during our daily social break and those will come in handy as we move to the winter months and have more inside recess days. The new books have been a hit! I have one student who has read each of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books at least twice since school started. I'm so glad that I can offer books that my students enjoy!

Since these items arrived before school started for the year, I didn't have a specific student reaction, but just today, one student told me that my classroom is the most well-stocked room she's seen. I am so grateful that the funding of this project has allowed me to provide anything my students could need!

As mentioned, we will continue to use our items every day. We have also been able to have a steady supply of Kleenex and Clorox wipes that will help my students stay healthy as we go through flu season. Thank you again for your generous donation!”

  • New Year, New School Supplies

    Funded Jan 21, 2022

Thank you again for the generous donation to my classroom! My class has used these quality products for the past few months, which has been amazing! I have been able to save some of my own money since I haven't had to buy some replacement products.

The most significant chunk of my project came from new headphones. We have used these headphones every day and they have been a lifesaver! Before this project, my students only had earbuds that broke easily or got tangled, lost, and stepped on. Our new headphones are amazing quality and have saved a lot of time as well. We have a designated spot in my room for the headphones, so they are easily accessible and have a place to go when not being used. I am so grateful to have these in my class!

The rest of my supplies were greatly needed. My students went through our art supplies so fast and with this project, I was able to replenish them so we've had supplies through the end of the year. We've been able to create and enjoy our supplies until the last few weeks of school.

Again, I am so grateful for the funding of this project and the way it has helped my class!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Beesley

It's the middle of the school year and our classroom supplies need to be replenished. Students received headphones at the beginning of the year, but almost all of them have gone missing or have broken. We spend a portion of each school day doing online math and reading lessons. My students would be so happy to have new headphones to help them focus and hear the sounds in the lessons. Along with those, our classroom art supplies are dwindling. My students love to draw and create, but we do not have enough materials for each of them to use. I would love to be able to refresh our supply of markers, colored pencils, and crayons so they can happily make, instead of sadly closing the drawers. Our paper products are diminishing at a rapid rate, due to Covid and also winter illnesses. It feels like I am bringing out new Kleenex boxes every day. Our portable does not have a sink, so kids have to run inside the school to grab paper towels to clean up spills. It would be amazing to have a supply in our room to clean those quickly. A few of the items on my list are to add a little bit more joy to our classroom. My students love getting these rewards and they are more motivated to show good behavior when they know these are in the treasure box. My students have been through a lot in the past two years and I know that even small things, like stickers and fun pencils, can brighten their day.
