I teach 7th grade English and we use post-its ALL THE TIME! I tell them that thinking is writing and writing is thinking! Post-it notes are great for gathering thoughts for quick writes before sharing. We do many of our quick as a means of processing our thinking about texts and their themes. Once students share what they write with a small group, they can then stick them on the whiteboard and the group can categorize answers, moving the sheets around with ease! Post-it notes are also great for annotating on texts that they cannot directly write on. Once again, students make notes as they go.
