Reading opens the imagination to possibilities. I want my students to have an opportunity to enjoy reading through many different genres. My students need to have access to "Just Right" books at their reading levels.
My students need a variety of high-interest books at their reading level.
Most students are fourth graders, and many are English learners. Some students struggle reading at grade level, and therefore need access to books appropriate for their age and reading level. A few of the titles I have requested are: Enemy Pie, The Stone Keeper, The Solar System, A Frog's Life and many more. Many of my students don't have access to engaging stories in the at home, so I want to be able to supply them with books. Students are reading daily from library books, but they've seen the same books for years. These new books will provide students a range of literature to choose from for there personal reading time and weekly reading goals.
