During my first year of teaching, I constantly struggled with the daily challenges of students not having their supplies: papers, homework (We had homework Miss B?!), pencils, notes, etc. This summer as I was reflecting on the past year, I realized that many of my students lack strong organization and study skills. Therefore, I wanted to create a system uniquely tailored to their needs and lifestyles that would help promote the development of these skills. When students come to class with the supplies and papers they need, and they aren't consumed with finding where they put yesterday's work, they are free to focus on what should be occurring: learning! I hope to teach my students how to organize their school work in an efficient way, in hopes that they will have success not only in my class, but in other aspects of their lives as well!
