  • I Can Hear Clearly Now!

    Funded Dec 20, 2024

I cannot fully express my joy, excitement, and appreciation for your donation to our class project. It is great to see that you share my vision for teaching children.

The headphones that you have funded have enabled students to hear directions clearly when taking NWEA Assessments, when learning and playing games to enhance their learning in Math and Reading using IXL, as well as recording themselves reading and publishing their writing samples to share with family and friends. We are so excited to add these headphones to enhance learning for all students. Thank you so much.

Our class gets so excited when they hear their voices after they have recorded themselves reading a story or publishing a writing piece. They enjoy improving their Math and Reading Skills when playing games through IXL. I am looking forward to seeing their NWEA scores improve in the spring when they are able to clearly hear the directions and demonstrate all that they have learned. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bartelson

  • Hands On Learning Games

    Funded Mar 29, 2023

I cannot fully express my joy, excitement, and appreciation for your donation to our class project. It is great to see that you share my vision for teaching children. In reading, our students need the tangible experiences to help them learn through different modalities.

The tools that you have funded have enabled students to create and learn through hands-on materials. We are so excited to add these materials to part of our ELA curriculum. Thank you so much. These new games are the first we choose at learning center time.

Our class gets so excited when they see the games you have purchased come out. They are excited to learn, play, and interact with their friends. Their faces truly light up when they are able to use hands on games to learn and help prepare them for first grade.”

    With gratitude,

  • We Can See Clearly Now

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations that allowed our class to purchase a HoverCam. This HoverCam is connected to our SMART board and allows for tactile materials, activities and worksheets to be projected for the whole class to see and follow along. Having the ability to project visuals and materials is essential in being able to reach and teach all learners. The visuals help our ELL population to understand directions and learn new vocabulary. It assists our class to easily follow along and see step by step directions as projects and activities are completed together under the HoverCam.

The HoverCam is especially important during COVID times to help project materials when students cannot gather close together. The HoverCam has the ability to zoom in to see details and enlarge images that we are learning about. This HoverCam has made our learning experiences fun, engaging and interactive. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping to enhance our learning.”

  • Clean Air

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

Thank you so much for giving our classroom the gift of clean air. During these uncertain times it is so important to do our part to keep both our students and teachers healthy while attending school in person on a daily basis. With your gift of two Dyson air purifiers we are able to know that our classroom air is cleaned and safe to breath. The first thing I do each morning when I enter the classroom is turn on the air purifiers to clean the classroom air before the students arrive. It gives me a sense of calmness to know that the air in our classroom is being circulated and cleaned on a daily basis. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping to keep my class healthy this year.”

  • Readercize Groups

    Funded Sep 9, 2019

Thank you so much for sharing in my vision to help students learn. Students learn best when they have tangible learning materials that they can manipulate. My students favorite part of the day is Readercise when they each choose learning games to help pre-teach, re-teach or challenge them. These new games are the first games the students choose to help them learn to read. We are forever grateful for your generous donation to our classroom. We can't wait to use these games each year for many years to come. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

I cannot fully express my joy, excitement, and appreciation for your donation to our class project. It is great to see that you share my vision for teaching children. Children need seating options to help learn through a variety of modalities.

The tools that you have funded will enable students to choose a seating option in which they learn best. We are so excited to add these materials to our classroom. Thank you so much. These new seats are the first choice my students choose when reading throughout the day.”

  • Razzle Dazzle Through Reading With A Class Subsription To Raz-Plus.com

    Funded Oct 18, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The excitement and joy my students have for reading because of your donation is endless.

My students love to come to reading group to read new stories on the iPad that allow them to make a choice by listening to a story, reading a story and answering comprehension questions.

This app allows students who would otherwise not have books at home the ability to choose from hundreds of stories each night in both English and Spanish. They are so excited to come to school each day and share with their friends what stories they read last night and have conversations about what the stories were about.

Thank you for helping to spark a love of reading with my students.”

  • Daily 5 Hands on Reading and Writing Materials

    Funded Apr 19, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The students were so excited to see that we got mail that we opened the box right away. With your donation we were able to get hands on reading materials to help us learn to read and tap out words. The English Language Development kits allow us to work on writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, as well as speaking and listening skills. These new materials are the first materials the students want to use when it is reading center time.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have helped spark a light of reading in each student in our classroom.”

  • Hands-On Center Materials

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. We love to use these new hands on learning materials to help us learn. We learn best when we can touch, play, and try things out. We love to work together and use teamwork to complete these different activities. During Daily 5 these are our first games that we choose to complete. We don't even realize how much we are learning when we play these games. They are so much fun! These are a wonderful addition to add to classroom for years to come. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Our classroom consists of 18 kindergarten students in a low income city in Massachusetts. We are an eager enthusiastic active group of students who love to sing and dance to help reinforce what we have learned. We enjoy doing classroom activities and games together on our rug. We would love a chance to have a bright and colorful rug to match our personalities as well as to help designate our own individual space.
