  • Dive Into Decoding

    Funded Dec 4, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations. The supplies have made learning so much more fun. The students were so excited to have hands on materials that make learning fun and exciting. I am able to focus on phonemic awareness skills that are fundamental to helping students to read. With the materials they are much more engaged and willing to participate in small groups. The decodable books have been extremely helpful. They are shorter and provide less frustration for students. Students are more more are eager to learn. Again, Than you.”

    Funded Nov 21, 2022

Thank you for the extremely generous donations. With the materials I have purchased for my small reading groups, it has brought the fun back into reading. The students are excited to use new materials and are engaged while learning. The materials have brought the Science of Reading to life. I am able to use a mulit-sensory approach to learning that is helping students to be successful readers. This is especially important for students who have Individual Education Plans. It takes the stress out of learning for these students. I am extremely grateful.”

  • Visuals for Victories!

    Funded May 21, 2021

I can not begin to thank you for the generous donation. This projector has been life changing for my classroom. I teacher 18 motivated first graders and 4 whom have special education services. being able to project and model work has been extremely beneficial to these students. Students are able to see modeled work, show their own work and move their bodies for a movement break.

Students love coming up to the projector and showing off what they know. Even my shiest students want a turn. This has given them the motivation they need to be successful this school year. This has also impacted my students with speech delays. It gives them a chance to share their work visually instead of orally.

All my students love has a projector. The ability to see work and share is extremely important in the early elementary grades. I am able to show students how to write words, how to add and subtract and also how to draw and be creative. The possibilities are endless. Again, thank you for your support.”

  • Virtual Tools for Success

    Funded Dec 31, 2020

Thank you for all your generous donations. These tools have helped my class learn and thrive this school year. Students use these essential tools. In order to be successful they needed basic materials like pencils and notebooks. They are able to use these to share their ideas, write stories and color beautiful pictures.

My students were very excited to get new materials. They were eager to get to work! It was nice to see how they care about their materials. It shows that they care about school and want to learn.

My students will be using these materials for the rest of the year. They will be creating lists, writing poems, making a market with recycled materials. Their imaginations will come alive. I am so thankful for your donation.

    Thank you,

    Kerry Caulfield”

  • Remote Learning Is the Future!

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you so much for the donations to help my scholars thrive. Having readily materials at home have really helped my students with remote learning. They are able to learn the concepts more easily having the resources they need. Being able to access the curriculum has been easier with the materials at home.

My students thrive on hands on learning. Being remote brings it challenges but having the materials they need had home is one less challenge for families. With these materials I am able to bring life to the curriculum. The activities are more hands on and modeled with the materials. Students are able to show me their understanding of concepts more easily.

The students and families are very grateful for the materials. They were excited when they were able to pick them up from school. I can not begin to describe the gratitude they have, as well as myself. Remote teaching has been easier knowing my students have what they need.”

  • Make Distance Learning Fun

    Funded Jul 20, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity. My students have been bale to learn and thrive having materials at home. With these materials students are able to keep organized and limit the distraction of looking for tools to use. The white boards have been the best resource that we have use. Students use these daily to write words, sentences and also compute math equations. If a student can not find a paper or pencil for an activity they know they can use their whiteboard. Being able to materials gives them the chance to actively learn and be a part of the class.

The students and families were so excited and grateful for the materials. Our school hosted a day for families to come and get materials from teachers. Seeing the students smiles and faces light up when they go their materials was priceless. The families couldn't be more excited and grateful. It was a very warming experience.

The next step is to get students more engaged. With these materials my lesson with be interactive and hands on. I can be more creative and provide the students with more sensory experiences.”

  • Books for All!

    Funded Dec 26, 2019

Thank you for the gift of learning. My students were so excited to get new books. The excitement has been going on since we received them. They are thrilled when they get to pick new books to read and discover the exciting titles we now have. Our old books were very outdated. They were at least ten years old and not very exciting to read. With new books that are modern and have beautiful illustrations, students are falling in love with reading again!

We read our books daily. My students love to independent read and new books makes it more engaging and fun. We also have been buddy reading. They love being able to buddy read together and it is so much more engaging. Students are having book talks and also recommending books to peers!

Students will continue to work on their love for reading. We will be retailing key details about their books, writing facts from non-fiction books and much more. We will grow our comprehension and fluency with this generous donation. We are so thankful!”

  • iLearn Through iPads

    Funded Oct 14, 2019

First grade is so grateful for new technology. This new technology allows us to have easier access to test and another material for students. We had really old ipads that would shut down and freeze when we tried to test students. The new ipads allow students to test with ease. It is faster and much more efficient way of testing.

What is most exciting is that I can put different apps on the iPad to differentiate learning Some students are working on sight words and some are reading chapter books. These new Ipads allow me to download books and other materials to cater to each individual student. By doing this they are able to access more of the curriculum. Also, we have been studying animals to prepare to write a report. These Ipads could not have come at a better time. With apps like, epic books and also access to the internet, students are able to do their own research on animals.

Students are mostly excited about reading! It is so great to see students reading with excitement. They love that they can record themselves reading and can play it back. Students are falling in love with books again and again. Thank you for this opportunity.”

  • Help us Bring our Class to Life with Color!

    Funded Aug 5, 2019

This printer has already made a hugh impact on student learning. We have many visuals for students especially our special education students. It has been a high asset to be able to print in color and have these resources available to students.

Working in a public school can be challenging when it comes to resources. Many times our copy machine which also acts as a printer is down and needs constant service. By having a printer to access in my classroom has been a major blessing. My students are excited to have colorful displays in our class as well as our families. Again , thank you for your generous donation.”

  • Sensory Overload!

    Funded Oct 26, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donation. The donations have really helped my first graders to be successful. My inclusion students with ADHD are really loving the cushions. They are helping them stay focused and on task. By keeping focus they are able to learn the content material and stay on grade level. The students are able to listen to stories on the rug, move around at their seats with interruptions and let out the energy they have pent up. These cushions mean more to them because it allows them to be able to function in the classroom without any behaviors arising. We are truly grateful that we go the cushions because our school OT is running low.

There is one student who really needed a weighted vest to be successful. We did not have any in the building to provide for him and it is not required in his IEP but I knew he would greatly benefit from one. He has made many improvements when wearing the vest. He is now more focused and is able to work more independently. He is now are of how his body feels with and without the vest and he k knows when his body really needs it. It was eyeopening to see how greatly he has been impacted from this donation.

Last, I am in to my first grade team this year. I did not have many chapter books that were above first grade level to offer to the higher level readers in the my class. My class was excited when we received new chapter books. They have a love for reading ,more than any other class I have taught. They fly threw books and it is great that we have a few more to add to our collection. We love independent reading time in our class! Again, thank your for your generosity and support.”

My students are an amazing group of students who come from a variety of backgrounds. Many students lack the basic skills for their age when entering first grade. Without the basic foundational skills students it is easy for students to fall behind in the later grades. First grade is a time to explore and have fun. I want my classroom to be an environment with hands on learning so students stay engaged and commitment to learn. Not one student is a like and nor do they learn the same way. With the right resources students can be successful not only in first grade but throughout life.
