The literacy games, flashcards and puzzles will be used to give children a way to explore the content beyond worksheets. They will be used to increase the reading levels of struggling students by providing memorable experiences and engaging activities. We will use these activites on a daily basis in small groups during literacy stations for further practice and guidance. Students will be able to gauge their personal understanding by how well they are succeeding in the activities and games. It is my belief that bringing these varieties of learning into literacy stations, will provide them with a fun, memorable way to improve their reading skills. Students learn in a more hands-on way and by giving them games and manipulatives it will increase their comprehension levels and love of reading.
